This project was intended to utilize all the techniques and skills we learned through out the entirety of the AMDT 492 course. The work featured on this page is the sum of several months of work. The goal of the project was to ultimately develop a 3d prototype of a garment using the software 3D CLO. The project initially began with the 2D tech flat development using Illustrator. After designing 2 variations of an outdoors jacket, each with 3 colorways; work then began on 3D CLO. I used a tutorial for a hoodie as the initial pattern for the garment then slowly made alterations and added the desired style lines and details. After that, I did the digital stitching which was tricky as there was quite a lot of pieces in the garment and the stitches all had to align properly both lengthwise and directionally. The puffer effect was added after, then final details such as the garment material, stiffness adjustment and draping adjustments could be done.
Final renders were done using CLO's internal renderer.
